ESDO has organized an opening ceremony of Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) at ESDO Head Office, Gabindanagar, Thakurgaon. The program has started its journey with a 6 months long IT Support Services Training. The main goal of SEIP Program is to provide training to develop the skills of the trainees according to the demand and ensure job for at least 70% of the participant, so that the increase in the financial capacity establish their family and own dignity and they get a sustainable way to improve their lives.
The program started at 9:30 am, 23rd December by hoisting of the national flag with national anthem. After the national anthem all the participant sang the group anthem of ESDO and the chief guest of the ceremony Mr. Abul Kashem has launched the SEIP program by flying balloon. Then a discussion meeting has taken place at ESDO-ETRC hall room. The meeting was presided over by Mr. Abu Azam Nur, Advisor, ESDO. Mr. Abul Kashem, AGM of PKSF, PC of SEIP was present at the meeting as the Chief Guest. The other attended honorable guests were Mr. Jaminy Kumar Roy, PC of ESDO, Focal Person SEIP-ESDO, Mr. Anamul Haque, PC, MF-ESDO and Mr. Abul Monsur Sorker, APC, HR-ESDO. Besides them many other ESDO officials, the trainees of the program and many print and electronic media personality were present at the meeting.
The meeting was started with the opening speech of Mr. Jaminy Kumar Roy. He express his happiness for the launching of such skill development program and thanked PKSF and the chief guest of the meeting Mr. Abul Kashem for selecting ESDO to run the program. He said our labors are getting very low payment when they are going abroad for work, because they are not much skill. He hopes Skills for Employment Investment Program (SEIP) will help the trainees to develop their skill and get better opportunities. Mr. Anamul Haque, PC MF, ESDO said in his speech that the trainees of IT Support Service Training under SEIP program could be used for ESDO MF program, so we will do our best to train them well and the lives of their family will improve if they learn well.
In his speech the honorable chief guest Mr. Abul Kashem said PKSF has provided training to 30 lacs people, but most of the trainings were for short period, which were not much effective. So they are very hopeful with the SEIP program, because all 15 category training under SEIP program are residential training and the length is 3 to 6 months, which could prove very effective. He also added in next 2 years PKSF will support to train 10000 people and arrange job for at least 70% of them which may bring financial solvency to the families of the trainees. He praised ESDO for being a good partner always and express his satisfaction regarding the course syllabus, schedule and food menu chart. He also thanked Dr. Md. Shahid Uz Zaman, Executive Director, ESDO (who is currently in an official visit to India) for his cooperation.
The discussion meeting comes to its end with the speech of the chairman Mr. Abu Azam Nur, Advisor, ESDO. He said PKSF always has been working for the financial solvency of the low earning people by their MF project and now they are working to improve their social status, which is very appreciable. He thanked PKSF for their support to ESDO from the beginning and he wished that PKSF will always keep their support to ESDO.
After the meeting Mr. Abul Kashem has visited the training lab room and attended a press conference.
