Systemic and enduring change is possible when communities can initiate and drive their development agenda. By building their capacity, communities can effect systemic changes to access fundamental rights and services, collaborating with the government and other actors, and leveraging and expanding their own resources. We, therefore, invest in capacity building to enhance community-led initiatives to create a firm basis for sustainable development and social justice. Our theory of change mainly focuses on two aspects: i) capacity building for poor people, with particular attention to women, young people, and disadvantaged groups; and ii) changes in systems that work for the poor.
