Systemic and enduring change is possible when communities can initiate and drive their development agenda. By building their capacity, communities can effect systemic changes to access fundamental rights and services, collaborating with the government and other actors, and leveraging and expanding their own resources. We, therefore, invest in capacity building to enhance community-led initiatives to create a firm basis for sustainable development and social justice. Our theory of change mainly focuses on two aspects: (i) building the skills and capacities of poor communities—especially women, youth, and disadvantaged groups; and (ii) changes in system that truly work in favor of the poor.
