🌱 Planning Meeting on “25 Crore Tree Plantation Plan of Action” 🌱

On Monday, 4 May 2026, a high-level Planning Meeting on the “25 Crore Tree Plantation Plan of Action” was held at Bana Bhaban, Agargaon, Dhaka—organized by Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) on behalf of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Bangladesh.

This landmark initiative represents a major step toward building a greener, climate-resilient Bangladesh 🌏 through large-scale afforestation and sustainable environmental actions.

The meeting was graced by the Honourable State Minister Mr. Sheikh Faridul Islam, MP, as Chief Guest, alongside Mr. Saimum Parvez, Special Assistant to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Distinguished representatives from government agencies, NGOs, INGOs, social organizations, private institutions, and environmental activists also participated—demonstrating a unified national commitment to environmental sustainability. Notable participating organizations included WaterAid, ActionAid, Muslim Aid, CARE, Muslim Hands, VSO, BRAC, Islamic Relief, German Red Cross, PKSF, Start Bangladesh Hub, GAIN, EDUCO, HEKS, ACTED, ACF, CBF, IFRC, SOS, along with about 70 country managers and senior officials.

We are proud to share that Dr. Md. Shahid Uz Zaman, Founder & Executive Director of ESDO, actively contributed to the discussion, offering visionary leadership and valuable insights to strengthen collaborative efforts for a sustainable future. 🌳
